White & Brown Rice

Perfect Long Grain White Rice

For every 1 cup of uncooked rice, bring the rice, salt and 2 cups of water to a a rapid boil. Make sure to have a tightly covered top on your pot. Let rice to continue to rapidly boil for about 5 minutes. Check rice and stir. Turn heat down and simmer for about 7-10 minutes. Check rice once more. Turn off light and make sure lid is tight.

Let water finish evaporating out of rice. Fluff it up and eat. Perfect rice every time!

**For parboiled rice just cook a little longer.

Perfect Brown Rice

Use the same instructions as for white rice but let the brown rice simmer for 45 minutes. Turn off heat. Make sure you have a tight lid. Let rice set for 10 more minutes. Fluff and eat!

**Brown rice takes much longer to cook, but it is just as delicious and has many more health benefits.

** Make sure to wash your brown rice off in cold water very well.
