Thick Sliced Meatloaf with Homemade Mashed Potatoes


  • ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • diced onions
  • diced green pepper
  • 1 can or fresh diced tomato
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp season all
  • basil
  • worcestershire sauce
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 can of carnation milk
  • 1/2 to 1/4 cup of butter


Put the ground beef (ground turkey) into a bowl and add seasonings, eggs, worcestershire sauce, onions and peppers. Mix everything together and put in a baking pan. Mold to shape the pan, caver with foil and bake for an hour at 450 temperature. Add seasoned and cooked tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and diluted tomato paste to the meatloaf when it is done. Peel potatoes and cut into small cubes. Boil the potatoes until soft. Drain and mash the potatoes adding butter, the can milk, salt and pepper. When everything is cooked slice the meatloaf cover with tomato sauce and serve with mashed potatoes.
